October Happenings

The month of October was a busy one for Club USA. The Club hired a dietician, hosted a Breast Cancer Awareness event, and put on a Silver Sneakers Potluck/Bingo event.  The Club also changed its interior – going from white walls to grey and adding some “modern-esque” back-splash tiles to the downstairs.

A few highlights:

Meet Jenny Petitti, Club USA’s registered dietician:

Jenny has 3 years of experience as a registered dietician and recently started her own business Wellness With Light.  She came on board with Club USA beginning on October 1st.  Jenny says that her passion for nutrition sparked in college when she realized that she could put her love of science and people together and work to help better people’s lives.

Jenny is excited to be a part of the Club USA team. As a contractor, she is able to network with other people and grow her business. She couldn’t be more thrilled to have the Club as her central hub.

Jenny’s services include group classes, individual counseling, and grocery store tours. She explains that she wants people to be savvy in their grocery shopping and not fall for marketing labels.

To practice what she preaches, Jenny strives to eat 7-9 fruits and vegetables each day, although she does enjoy gumballs and ice cream once in a while. “It’s not about guilt; it’s about a positive relationship with food and allowing some wiggle room.” Jenny says her healthy habits – working out regularly in the gym, staying active daily and eating right – took time, but now it’s just how she lives.

Jenny’s hours are flexible and are dependent on her client schedule.

The “Party in Pink Zumbathon” was a success, raising over $590. More than 30 women showed up all decked out in pink to support the non-profit organization, Sense of Security. Sense of Security provides financial assistance to Colorado breast cancer patients in treatment so they can focus on rest & recovery.

The Silver Sneakers Potluck/Bingo event was also a success. Despite the beautiful Colorado weather that day, we had several awesome ladies and gentlemen join us.  Great conversations, wonderful food, and bingo – what else do you need for a day well spent!
