What is the SilverSneakers Fitness Program? SilverSneakers® is a fun, energizing program that helps older adults take greater control of their health by encouraging physical activity and offering social events. We offer Signature SilverSneakers classes for seniors at all fitness levels, focusing on total body strength and conditioning for improving function for daily living, social and educational activities.
SilverSneakers I: Classes are designed for any fitness level for muscular strength and range of movement. These classes offer a variety of activities of daily living (ADL's).
SilverSneakers II: Classes are designed to increase your cardiovascular and muscular endurance power with a standing workout. Upper body strength with hand held weights. Elastic tubing and ball will be alternated with non-impact aerobic choreography. A chair is offered for support, stretching, and relaxation exercises.
SilverSneakers Yoga/stretch: Classes will move your whole body through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses. Chair support is offered to safely perform a variety of postures designed to increase flexibility, balance and range of movement. Restorative breathing exercises and a final relaxation will promote stress reduction and mental clarity.
